  • In 1950, Juan Escourido Granados and José  Antonio Gutierrez del Río met and and six years later, in 1956, worked together in a hardware store.
  • In 1960 their relationship and friendship is strengthened when two people decide to join in society, buying such hardware       
  • Because of their great effort and dedication, decided shortly after starting a new business. This was the first related to rubber. By public auction they acquired the company "Botas S.A.”, company dedicated to the manufacturing of rubber boots and tennis shoes.
  • The company had a small mechanical workshop, with the help of imagination, the company forged a new goal: to design and manufacture a radiator hose mold. That's how we started developing its own technology but always with keeping the same idea of the two founders: managing quality items.
  • Given the success and growth that was experienced in 1964, they decided to buy the land from which our current facilities are; in 1965 they decided to sell the hardware that was attended by Mr. José Antonio Gutiérrez and invested all assets in the new company, which faced another major challenge: sell radiator hoses marked "Tepeyac", choosing this brand name as a symbol of the Mexican manufactured products.
  • Thus is born in June 1965, our Tepeyac Rubber Company has always been in constant growth, both in the technological area the size of its facilities, trying to keep at the forefront of quality equipment and their products and services. That's why their market penetration has covered not only Mexican market but also other Countries in LA and even some in Europe, through its authorized distributors and is highly recognized brand 
  •  More recently, in 1995 the company changed the name to “Tepeyac Autopartes SA de CV.”
  • In August 2001, Danish Global AP Moller Group, through its  ROULUNDS comapny based in Kuge, Denmark, come to an arrangement with Gutierrez and Escourido, and the Company was acquired by the Danish group ROULUNDS Codan, as a consequence later, in May 2006, the Company became in to “Codan Rubber Mexico SA de CV”.
  • The, in February 2007 Codan Group was adquired by the Italian Group Maflow.
  • In mid 2008, Codan Rubber Mexico decides to relaunch Tepeyac Brand, because it still is well positioned in the minds of our customers.
